Doja Cat altered the lyrics of 'Paint the Town Red' during her Wednesday, Nov. 4, concert at the American Airlines Center to reflect recent Texas election results. The performer changed the line from 'I paint the town red' to 'I paint the town blue,' a nod to the Democratic victories in statewide races. The change included wins for the governor's office and a U.S. Senate seat.

The shift prompted fans in the arena to hold up blue lights, creating a visible display across the floor and upper sections. Doja paused at the end of the song to look out at the audience before moving into the next part of her set. The moment followed Tuesday's midterm elections, which saw Democrats secure major positions in Texas.

The show was the latest stop on the Tour Ma Vie World Tour, which supports Doja's fifth studio album, 'Vie.' The 32-song setlist mixed new material with previous hits. Doja opened her segment with 'Cards,' the first track on 'Vie,' before performing 'AAAHH MEN!' with a choreographed dance battle. The performance showcased her dancing skills, which continued throughout the evening.

The stage featured a retro design inspired by the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. The set included 'Kiss Me More,' 'Get Into It (Yuh),' and 'Gorgeous.' Doja maintained her vocal clarity while performing physically demanding choreography. She delivered rapping verses and melodies from songs like 'Agora Hills' and 'Cyber Sex' without faltering in breath control.

Latto opened the event with selections from her album 'Big Mama.' Her set included 'Chrome Heart Diaper Bag,' 'GOMF,' 'Get Money Girl,' 'Hostage,' and 'Gimme Dat.' She also performed earlier hits such as 'Put It On Da Floor' and 'Bitch from Da Souf.' Doja later invited Latto back on stage to perform their collaboration 'Okayyy' together.

The final portion of the concert featured more intense production. During 'Streets,' a red backdrop, sparks, and flames added to the visual experience. Doja also performed 'Tia Tamera,' a rock-influenced track that differed from the pop and R&B songs that dominated the earlier part of the night. Pyrotechnics accompanied songs like 'WYM Freestyle,' 'Demons,' and 'Boss Bitch.'

Doja concluded her performance with 'Jealous Type.' The set ended after she performed 'Stranger,' 'One More Time,' and her 2020 hit 'Say So.' The concert at the American Airlines Center highlighted the artist's range across multiple musical genres.
