Dallas College Opens Success Coaching Centers for Student Support
New in-person offices across all campuses offer help with registration and degree planning, with walk-in hours set for weekdays.

Dallas College has opened Success Coaching Centers on all of its campuses to provide direct, in-person assistance to students. The centers are staffed by assigned success coaches who meet with students to review academic plans and connect them with campus resources.
Coaches assist with a range of services, including degree planning, course registration, and academic standing reviews. They also help students develop individual success plans. According to the college, these meetings are designed to streamline the administrative process for enrolled students.
Students must schedule appointments through the college's Navigate system or by logging into Workday and checking the Academic Hub. The college recommends booking a specific time slot before arriving on campus. For those without a scheduled visit, general walk-in assistance is available through the Atlas virtual queue. These walk-in hours run from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays.
Walk-in support covers specific administrative tasks such as course drops, swaps, and quick course adds. It also includes referrals for TSI testing and other campus resources. However, the college notes that walk-in staff do not handle degree or transfer planning, detailed academic standing reviews, or complex registration issues.
The centers operate on a standard weekly schedule. Offices are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays. All campuses are closed to walk-in coaching on Saturdays and Sundays. Students are advised to save their place in line before arriving at the physical location.
Locations vary by campus, with credit and continuing education coaches often housed in separate rooms. For example, at one campus, credit coaches are located in the S Building, Room S113, while continuing education coaches are in Room S010. At another site, both groups share the L Building, Room L105. Other locations include the B Building, Room B2100, and the A Building, Room A110. Students can find their specific coach's room by checking the directory in Navigate or Workday.
Parking instructions accompany each location. For instance, at the S Building site, students should use lots P2, P3, or P4. At the L Building site, parking is available in lots S1 or S2. The college maintains these designated areas to ensure students can access the coaching centers efficiently during operating hours.
