Dallas College Specifies Document List for Veteran Degree Processing
Students must submit discharge papers, military transcripts, and prior college records to a Mesquite address to finalize their degree plans.

Veterans and active-duty members seeking to complete their degree plans at Dallas College must now submit a specific package of documents to the Admissions Processing office. The institution requires these materials before it can process any official degree plan.
The required documentation includes the Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty, known as the DD-214, for veterans. Students currently on active duty should contact the LeCroy Center for specific guidance. In addition to discharge papers, applicants must provide military transcripts and official transcripts from every college or university they have attended since high school, regardless of whether they graduated from those institutions.
Those who earned degrees from non-U.S. institutions must use a foreign credential evaluator service to have their records assessed. The military transcript serves as documentation of service training, allowing the college to grant corresponding credit hours. High school transcripts are not required for veterans applying for benefits, but they may be necessary for those seeking financial aid.
Students must mail these documents to Dallas College at 3737 Motley Drive in Mesquite, Texas 75150, with the attention line specified as Admissions Processing. The college also accepts submissions via email at StudentTranscripts@DallasCollege.edu.
The method for obtaining the military transcript depends on the branch of service. Air Force personnel must request transcripts from the Community College of the Air Force, and the college notes that the Mozilla Firefox browser provides the best results for that portal. Army, Coast Guard, Navy, and Marine Corps members must use the Joint Services Transcript System.
The college lists these requirements to ensure all prior learning is properly documented. The documents must be complete before the Admissions Processing team can move forward with the degree plan.
