Guest House, a dining concept from Austin-based RDM Hospitality, opens its fourth location in Dallas on Wednesday, November 18. The new restaurant will occupy the former Sugar Factory space at 1900 Cedar Springs Road in the Uptown neighborhood. This marks the brand's first entry into the Dallas market, following previous openings in Austin, Las Vegas, and Scottsdale.
The property is set to serve a New American menu developed by corporate executive chef Todd Mark Miller. Miller previously led culinary operations at STK Steakhouse. His menu features premium steaks, including parmesan-crusted filet mignon, along with a raw bar and caviar service. Other items on the list include spicy rigatoni, steak tartare, wagyu pastrami, and chicken tenders. The beverage program centers on playful cocktails, including house signatures such as the Tugley Woods, Magic Mushroom, and the brand's espresso martini. A new martini program is also part of the initial offering.
A central feature of the dining experience is the table-side wagyu presentation. This service involves cooking a minimum three-ounce cut of beef on a hot rock. The restaurant will also serve tuna and caviar cones and provide complimentary croissant-brioche to guests. These elements align with the menu strategies employed at the brand's other locations in Texas and the Southwest.
John Sofio, founder of hospitality design firm Built Inc., created the interior design for the Dallas space. Sofio also designed the West Hollywood Delilah location. The design intent is to create a setting that evolves throughout the evening, transitioning from dinner service to a lively social atmosphere. The venue includes a DJ booth to support this social focus. The concept positions the restaurant as a supper club, emphasizing communal dining and casual presentation despite the premium ingredients.
RDM Hospitality operates several other concepts in Austin, including The Italian Osteria, The Henry Public House, and Clover Sixty Seven. The group manages additional properties outside of Texas. The rapid transition of the Uptown space from a previously rumored tenant to this new concept occurred over a short period. The Oxford Rose Tavern and Supper Club had been mentioned as a potential tenant when Sugar Factory closed in August 2024, but Guest House secured the lease.
Guest House is now accepting reservations through OpenTable. The restaurant will operate Sunday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Hours extend from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The opening follows the standard operating schedule established at the brand's other properties.
