A jury in Collin County sentenced 31-year-old Joshua Turner to 75 years in prison on Monday. The Celina resident pleaded guilty to possessing visual material that depicted the sexual assault of toddlers.

Police arrested Turner on October 19, 2025, after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Officers stated that Turner was viewing child pornography at the time. During the investigation, Turner deleted evidence from his electronic devices. Police recovered several images and videos from those devices. The recovered material included footage of sexual assault involving toddlers.

Investigators also found messages Turner sent to several minors on the platforms Kik, Session, and Telegram. In some of these messages, Turner described sexual acts he wished to commit on children as young as three years old. The investigation further revealed that Turner had sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old victim after providing her with alcohol.

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis released a statement regarding the verdict. "This man possessed especially despicable child pornography including the sexual assault of toddlers, messaged multiple minors, and engaged in sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old after giving her alcohol," Willis said. "A jury sentenced him to 75 years in prison. Those who exploit children will be held accountable."

Turner was booked into the Collin County Jail following his arrest. The plea agreement was finalized on October 28. The sentencing followed the jury's deliberation on the possession charges.
