Four people died in three separate shooting incidents in Dallas on Halloween.

The violence took place in the Deep Ellum district during the early morning hours of November 1. Police confirmed that 15 other people sustained injuries. The first incident was reported at 12:19 a.m. on Elm Street. The second occurred shortly after 1:00 a.m. on Main Street. The third and final incident was reported at 1:35 a.m. on Crowdus Street.

Isaiah Boling, 20, was identified as the fourth victim. He was shot on Elm Street. Three other deaths were confirmed on Crowdus Street. They were Anthony Martin, 25, Unique Benjamin, 28, and Kaniesa Scott, 21. Scott’s family described her as an innocent passerby.

The FBI and Dallas police arrested David Yancy on November 4. The 31-year-old suspect turned himself in to authorities. He faced seven federal charges. These include possession of firearms and ammunition, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and mass shooting. Yancy had a prior criminal record and was already wanted for violating his probation.

An FBI special agent said business video helped identify Yancy. The agent stated that Yancy prepared to shoot and fired 11 times into a crowd. Dallas police spokesman Luis Mata said investigators are still looking for other suspects. Mata asked those individuals to turn themselves in. Authorities also requested that witnesses share photos and videos of the events.

Police Chief Daniel Comeaux praised the response of the officers. He noted that agents provided critical care to a wounded person who survived. The department has interviewed at least one person regarding the shootings. Authorities said they will immediately allow crowds to gather in parking lots.
