Urban Air Adventure Park opens Saturday at 3615 E. McKinney St. in Denton. The facility features trampolines, slides, climbing walls, and an obstacle course. It joins a busy list of local business changes this month that include new openings and two closures.

The Elephant Lounge opened in Flower Mound’s Parker Square. The restaurant and wine bar serves modern American food with global influences. Owners Michael and Emery Lawson opened the space at 890 Parker Square. Michael Lawson worked in Dallas-area restaurants for 13 years before launching the business. The couple cited an upstate New York destination as the inspiration for the venue’s focus on craft and service.

Brickstones Kitchen & Bar now operates inside the Embassy Suites by Hilton Denton Convention Center. It replaced the Houlihan’s restaurant that closed earlier. The menu includes burgers, flatbreads, and salads. Alpaca Moona also opened inside Golden Triangle Mall, where it sells handcrafted Peruvian goods.

The former site of The Filling Station at 216 W. Mulberry St. in Denton hosts a new mix of retail and beverage tenants. Rowdy Return, a sustainable living shop, and Malibu Matcha, a new concept from the founders of Eagle Cawffee, are already open. Velcrokid, an art gallery and designer toy store from Lewisville, plans to open in the space on Nov. 6. Burnout Vintage, a vintage clothing store, also occupies the location.

Brooklyn Dawgs, a New York-style hot dog vendor, operates a food truck frequently at 740 Hobson Lane near Fort Worth Drive. That spot is the site of the new Storage 365 facility. Two local businesses closed earlier this month. The Picklr Denton pickleball facility at 824 W. University Drive shut down after the Utah-based franchisor filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Mt. Fuji Hibachi Steak House at 4150 Barton Creek in Highland Village also closed.

Two more businesses are preparing to open in the coming year. Videoland, a nonprofit video store in Denton, is accepting donations of DVDs, Blu-rays, and VHS tapes to stock its shelves. It has not announced an opening date yet. Marty B’s Coffee Co. is expected to open at 841 International Parkway in Flower Mound. The Flower Mound Town Council approved the plans in December 2024, and the permit was under review as of Tuesday.
