The Sachse Mustangs will play the Wylie East Raiders at Wylie ISD Stadium this Thursday to determine the District Nine 6-A champion. The contest is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast live on KDFI 27 (FOX 4+) and the free FOX LOCAL app. This game serves as the final deciding factor for the district title, as both teams remain undefeated in their league play.
Sachse enters the matchup with a perfect 8-0 record for the season. The Mustangs have not lost a game this year. Wylie East trails slightly with a 7-1 record. The Raiders have one loss on their season sheet. Both programs hold unblemished district records, meaning the winner of Thursday's contest secures the District Nine 6-A championship automatically.
Play-by-play announcer Doug Anderson and analyst LaDarrin McLane will provide commentary for the broadcast. This marks their 21st consecutive season serving as the voices of North Texas high school football. Sideline reporter Chris Mycoskie will also join the production. Mycoskie is entering his seventh straight year in that role for the network.
