Garrison Brothers will release its second Bottled in Bond Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey this Saturday. The six-year-old spirit is the second in the series for 2026, following the first bonded release in February.

Master Distiller Donnis Todd selected 102 barrels for this specific release. Each barrel originally held 53 gallons of bourbon and was filled on October 2, 2020. The whiskey matured in the Texas Hill Country, absorbing local temperature swings and summer heat.

The production process relies on Texas grains, a sweet mash, and open-air fermentation. Distillers proofed the final product with pure Hill Country rainwater. The distillery describes the flavor profile as featuring toasted brown sugar, cinnamon, and white pepper, with a finish of leather and vanilla. Additional notes include nutmeg, anise, and baking spices.

The Bottled in Bond designation follows regulations established in 1897. The law requires the whiskey to come from a single distiller and distillery during one distilling season. It must age in a federally bonded warehouse for at least four years and bottle at exactly 100 proof. This release exceeds the minimum aging requirement by two years.

The first 1,000 bottles are available at the Garrison Brothers Distillery in Hye on November 14. The distillery gates open to the public at 8 a.m. for the release. A ticketed fundraiser called Red, White & Bourbon begins at 11 a.m. to benefit the National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg. Customers can buy bottles on a first-come, first-served basis throughout the day.

The suggested retail price is $89.99 per bottle. The distillery plans to produce 19,500 bottles for this run. Any remaining stock will appear in the distillery gift shop on Monday, November 16. Wider distribution through select retailers, restaurants, and online sales is expected by the end of the month.

Founded in 2006 by Dan and Nancy Garrison, the distillery has released its first bourbon in 2010. It has since distributed its products across the United States and five other countries. The company reports more than 800 awards for its various expressions.
