Dallas police released new video details on Monday showing 13-year-old Natalie Armstrong exiting a DART train at the SMU/Mockingbird station on the night she went missing. The footage places Armstrong at the station at approximately 8:43 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21. She was accompanied by another individual, whom authorities believe is also a minor.

The new information updates the public description of Armstrong’s appearance during the incident. While earlier reports noted she wore a gray hoodie, police now say she was wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans, and white shoes in the surveillance images.

Megan Bernhardt, Armstrong’s mother, stated that her daughter left the family home without a phone, money, or any other electronic device. Bernhardt believes Armstrong may have taken a DART train to an unfamiliar part of the city. She described her daughter as autistic and noted that Armstrong has been experiencing school-related anxiety recently.

The family has focused search efforts in Grapevine after receiving reports of possible sightings in that area. Bernhardt said the lack of contact from her daughter is particularly alarming because Armstrong knows her mother’s phone number. “She knows my phone number; she knows it, so it is alarming that she has not reached out,” Bernhardt said. Armstrong is 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Bernhardt asked local parents to ask their teenage children if they have seen or spoken to Armstrong. She noted that Armstrong might feel more comfortable approaching someone her own age rather than an adult. The mother also pointed out that Armstrong enjoys walking and could cover long distances on foot. “Natalie, we are very worried and we love you so much,” Bernhardt said in an interview. “You are not in trouble. We just need you to come home.”

Authorities ask anyone with information about Armstrong’s whereabouts to call 911 or the Dallas Police Juvenile Operations/Missing Persons Unit at 214-671-4268. Callers should reference case number 155505-2026.
